CRUMMY and Crime-Ridden!!!

This is a crime-ridden neighborhood! On more than one occasion, we saw teenagers smoking and selling dope on the playground. If you have children, please don't take your chances by renting here!!! Noise is intolerable and management just doesn't care. The nice apartments are completely overshadowed by all the criminal activity and lazy staff/maintenance.
Boy! Where do I start''! We pay almost $900 for rent every month. The people living above us enjoy jumping off their furniture and stomping around most of the day and evening. Management will not address the issue, even after several complaints by us. These same neighbors have had several domestic disputes, all heard very clearly through the floor/ceiling, and been hauled off the jail several times for selling drugs (this also gives MD landlords grounds to give immediate eviction notices). Management will not evict because, as we were told, "It's too hard to evict people on welfare." I interpret this to mean that the county/state pays the rent every month and that they're not going to give up the cash.
There have also been several acts of vandalism in the parking lot. Several cars have been broken into and/or vandalized. My own car was keyed.
Flyers were posted in each building because outgoing mail was being stolen. I suggest that if you do live here, make sure that packages are not left at your door. We have had 3 packages that were confirmed delivered at our door, but we never received. Home delivery of the newspaper is a complete waste of time. Our paperboy has finally started ringing our doorbell to let us know that he is leaving the paper.
Maintenance is a joke. It took more than a month and MANY calls to get our burnt-out garbage disposal replaced. The clothes dryers have to run 3-4 cycles of 60 minutes per cycle to dry a load of clothes. These are the washer/dryer units in the apartments that management charges you an extra $75 per month for. That's not including the fact that you have to pay for the extra electricity!
Hot water is a severe problem. I haven't had even a luke-warm shower in over 6 months. Once again, management doesn't really care.
Overall, our time here has been absolutely horrible. We insured everything to the hilt and actually utilized our policy 4 times during our 12 month stay here. They should warn possible tenants of the majority of Section 8 population in the area!

i had a noisy nieghbor, i had to track all the dates and times, but they only cared if it was after 11 pm. during the day, you're out of luck. except they threatened a mother in my building for playing music to loud with her kid at 2 in the afternoon. no one was home in the entire building, but the manager had a problem, darned inconsistant if you ask me

You had lukewarm water? Lucky you! We would get our showers going just right and then all of a sudden the water would start spraying hot as can be water. OUCH! The power and water are shut off often I noticed too. For usually two and three days at a time.
