I initially wrote the review giving Arbor View a rating of 4 and I'd like to edit that review but I can't remember my stupid userid/password so I'll just start anew.

Maintenance used to be pretty on top of things. I think the main guy lived in my building and when my hot water heater cracked on Memorial Day, he responded quickly to a message I had left and even ran out to Home Depot to buy a new one for me. I got to my cookout an hour late but hey, I was impressed that he put so much time and effort in on a holiday. I don't remember his name but I think he's gone now. Probably because he worked too hard.

Today is a different story.

Day 6 - still no end in sight.

It will be a week tomorrow that I will have had no air conditioning - which is classified as an emergency on their voicemail message. My first call was placed on Sunday and the maintenance guy responded within a few minutes but couldn't fix it and had to wait for the "AC Guru" to come in on Monday morning. I came home from work on Monday evening excited to crash on my couch with a delicious libation and the coolness and quiet hum of a working air conditioning unit. Instead I came home to a love note on my door saying that because I had changed the locks (I didn't), I needed to make a copy of the key and bring it to them on Tuesday and they were cancelling my service request. I'm no maintenance technician here but perhaps the 90 degree humid weather had caused the lock to swell. Just a hunch because everyone who has keys to my apartment had trouble with the lock on the same day - go figure... And by the way - I wanted to say that it wasn't my problem and sounded like a maintenance issue but I held back - I really miss my air conditioning. On Tuesday they made a copy of my key and when I called Tuesday evening I was told by the leasing office that a part needed to be ordered and it would be fixed "definitely by Thursday". Today is Friday. This morning I received a call from the office to update me (I guess they were trying to cut me off at the pass because I've been pretty vocal with them since Sunday - hey, squeaky wheel gets greased). I was told that the part will "hopefully" be in today.

Raise your hand if you believe that.

That's all I have so far but I will try to remember to keep you updated as this goes on longer and longer...it's almost becoming funny dealing with their ineptness (is that a word').

So the moral of the story is - I don't think this is a specific Arbor View issue, I'm under the impression that this lack of service is prevalent at almost all apartment complexes. But hey, you gotta start the revolution somewhere so I'm giving the bad marks to Arbor View. Maybe they'll realize that they could set themselves apart from the other crappy complexes by boosting their service and it would catch on...

Oh - and did I mention that they didn't tell us our rent was increasing by $75 until after our lease was up...but I'm too hot to type that one out today.

Former resident here- I'm afraid this is the norm rather than the exception. Office staff is not trustworthy!

I'm a current resident and i can agree to this review.Just this last year things have gotten much worse around here. We have complained and all we get is double-talk and lies,we have been threatend by the Office staff, they try to repeatedly intimidate us. They should not be allowed in the workplace dealing with the public.
