To start, the community is not that bad. OK outside. Roomy but average on the inside - though a little pricy for what you get. Building maintenance was subpar - the foyer had a leaky roof that was never properly fixed, our security system was knocked out in a lightning storm and not fixed for over six months and we had vagrants breaking in the back door and sleeping in our hallway for a couple of weeks before anything was done about it by management. They were constantly taking away amenities (covered parking demolished quite suddenly, tennis court often full of litter, whirlpool removed) and then raising rent.
Now for the really bad part - the front office. Do not be fooled by their smiles. Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad. They were arrogant and decidedly not helpful under any circumstance. I never had a good interaction with anyone in the front office - all the way up to the manager. The residents are treated like serfs and they were always combative when talked to. On several occasions I was blatantly lied to when I asked about community improvements or when reporting building maintenance needs. No matter what you do, get everything in writing and get a copy of everything they ever give you! Their "word" is worth absolutely nothing. Our neighbors had similar problems and several moved out due, in part, to these issues.
To summarize, if you like to spend a lot of money and like to be treated with no respect - this is your place! Welcome home!

I agree 100%! My family and i currently live in this "hell-hole"of an apartment and i just wish i had known about this site and the reviews on it about that place,we would never have moved here. Just this past year those snot-nosed girls in that office have gotten worse than ever befor,mainly,i believe because they have been getting away with that outrageous behavior,the arrogance,incompetence and indifference,just to name a few.We're moving next month!!!

I also totally agree with this posting. Actually, most problems they did fix pretty quick for us, but I think that was when there was a different maintenance guy. I haven???t seen him lately, he was probably way too good for this place and found somewhere better to work. And the one person in the front office that really has an attitude problem that I've dealt with is -----, she is really a horrible person, should probably find another line of work NOT dealing with people. Anyway, we are stuck here till our lease was up, and also wish we had read some type of reviews like this before we moved in.

Absolutely agree here. I found this site after venting on my blog. Decided to sign up since Liriope (the newer part of Arborview) was rated as a 100%. It's all managed by the same office so Liriope has the same issues.
