I've looked at a lot of apartments in the College Park area, you can't beat the price for the area. We've been here over two years and only had one small ($20) rent increase. The building is clean and well-maintained. This is the first complex I've ever been at where they routinely do preventive maintence. Whenever we have had an issue, maintence has been performed right away.

Safety is always a concern in the area. There were a couple of muggings in the parking lot back when we first moved in, but management responded by increasing the lighting for the parking lot and adding keypad entry for the doors, and was very responsive to resident concerns. The only drawback has been thin walls, I can hear my upstairs neighbors quite a bit. Considering how spacious our apartment is and the fact that it was completly renovated and very new before we moved in, a little noise pollution is a small price to pay. I'd defintely recommend Chestnut Knolls to anyone looking in the Beltsville/College Park area. We're planning to stay until we're ready to buy.
