i'm out of here in a few months after six years in this hellhole. here is a sampling of our last monthly utility bill, for your reading enjoyment...

$35 for water/sewer
$32 for hot water
$277 heat service
$3 trash removal
$1 service fee

yes, you are seeing the heat bill correctly...$277!!! for a 1 bedroom apartment!! in DC no less!! fortunately these utilities are capped this year at $75/mo, or I would have to pursue legal action about this (capped because not only did they pass on massive amounts of utilities to residents to pay this year, but they also increased our rent by $50/mo, so this was probably a sort of rent increase cap imposed by county). so new potential residents, don't be fooled by their already ludicrously priced ghetto apartments, it's more expensive than renting a townhouse once you add utilities.

i won't even get into our maintenance issues. frankly i give up in order to maintain my sanity, i'm just letting this place fester in mold and disrepair until i move in 4 months, far far away. and renewing my prescription for asthma inhaler. and preparing court case for when they claim all of this damage is our fault.

I AGREE with you 100%. Not only that, but I know someone that is also living beside an ex-con who doesn't work and hangs out all night and morning hours with his friends doing who knows what...although we can figure.

I am a resident here and just moved into the community two-months ago; not trying to get into your business, but I heard that most of the car break-ins are usually in the back of the buildings (around apartments 4005 through 4113--near the Calverton Elementary School). Is this true??? Thank you.

To newuser 27, my car was stolen from 11914 twinlakes drive.. parked right in front of the building....
