Good apartment....Bad area

I currently live here. My car was lit on fire in the middle of the night about 3 weeks ago. We have only lived here a month. By no way is this the apartment complexes fault. It is the area, Prince Georges county is not good. There is alot of gang presence. I moved here from Pennsylvania because my husband got a teaching job in PG county. If you want somewhere safe it is not the dc metro area.
I love my apartment, it is really big, rent is cheap for this area. Please when you look at these sites remember, it is the area not the apartment complexes fault. You will have problems anywhere you go in md. But some tips.....don't rent on the first floor...more break ins happen there. Get a club for your car wheel. Lock up always, and don't leave anything in sight.
