I HAVE COMPLAINED TO MAINTENCE AND THE CORPORATE OFFICE, DON'T NOBODY CARE.THEY SAY THEY COME AROUND EVERY SO MANY MONTHS AND SPRAY AND SET TRAP. THAT DON'T WORK.THEY WANT YOU TO HAVE YOUR RENT ON TIME.BUT THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THERE PROPERTY. AIMCO SUCKS AND SOMEONE NEED TO PUT THEM ON BLAST ON A MAJOR TV NETWORK.SOME BUILDINGS DON'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM,BUT MAJORITY OF US DO. SO PLEASE THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE YOU MOVE.I CAN'T WAIT FOR MY YEAR TO BE OVER IN OCT.I'M RUNNING SCARED. THEY ALSO WENT UP THEIR RENT AND NOT WORTH IT. I DON'T WANT TO PAY HIGH PRICE FOR ROACHES DO YOU'

Reading some of the postings here shows me I am not the only one that has the same problems....do we live in the same building? I'm thinking the answer to that one is ....NO

I agree after readings these posting that these are not isolated situations and the problems are either getting worse or residents are now starting to use their voice.

I feel you, although, I've hadn't had any problems with roaches (ocassionally I see silverfishes) and as you've mentioned, some apartment buildings around here are taken better care of. It may also be that your neighbors are flithy.

The situation for young people here in DC is so bad, our only option is to buy a $500,000 house or rot in these overpriced, crime-ridden apartment dumps. We should rise up and fight for more tenant rights or to expose AIMCO because these apartments are just terrible and there's no excuse other than corporate profit.
I've been in my building for over 5 years, and the crime situation has really gotten out of control the past year (hence this sudden "neighborhood watch" thing, how can you have a neighborhood watch in an apartment complex like this?!!). I can also attest that the management has really gone down the hole, and for a couple recent years maintenance may as well not have existed. Lately they've been responding but it's the usual patch-up-as-cheaply-as-possible jobs.
