Never ever move here. I'm posting a copy of my complaint letter written back in September on here as a caveat. It took my rear car window getting smashed into by a noisy neighbor living above me, who thumped around at all hours of the night, had a crying baby, blasted music and t.v. to get me out of my lease and I still had to fight to get out. If I can save you even an ounce of aggravation, then my posting has done its job.
I did my initial walk through, noted the problems and expected to come back to a cleaned up apartment. WRONG! On move in day this is what I came into.
Upon entering the apartment, it was apparent by the stains, unpainted walls, streaks on my wall that the apartment had not been touched since the initial walk through. The man who did my walk through with me had pulled the stove away from the wall, said it wasn t working. When I returned to the apartment the stove had not been fixed and was still out of the wall. I waited over an hour to speak with Bernard and he informed me that everything would be ready for me to move in by Saturday. The accent wall was painted on Thursday and a maid came in and cleaned the bathroom and the stove, which had residue dripping down the side. I called on Friday and asked to speak with him to ensure that my apartment was being worked on. He did not return the call I left in the office. On Saturday, I discovered that nothing had been done, so I went over to the leasing office and gave them a list of the problems in my apartment. The problems are as follows:
- several yellow stains on my carpet (appeared to be urine)
- floor was coming up in my kitchen
- my toilet had brown stains in it
- the paint on my shelves and rail is chipping in my closet
- blue stains on the carpet
- leak from the bathroom vent
- dirty vents
- paint streaks on the wall
- dirty blinds
- yellow drops on my bathroom wall
- broken screen door
- dirty baseboards
- phone cord wire sticking out of my wall
- medicine cabinet with rust and mold growing in the corner
Here was the leasing managers response:
He told me they would clean my carpets again and we discussed the possibility of a rent credit. He offered me a cleaning service for the first 60 days of my lease, and I said I wanted rent compensation for the time I have lived in the apartment that these problems have existed. He said in addition to the rent credit, is there anything else they could do, and I said just fix the problems. On Friday September 21, a maintenance man came out to my apartment and said that in order to take care of the leak, they would have to cut a hole in my ceiling. Due to their lack of response to the aforementioned problems, I opted for them not to cut the hole in the ceiling. On Tuesday, September 25 I came home to discover my toilet had been replaced but. my floor was left sopping wet and they had used and then taken one of my towels to clean up the mess. I do not have the towel back to this day! He then went back on his initial offer and tried to compensate me with a gift card, which he never delievered.
This is the shortened version, but basically as of yesterday my car was broken into at 2 p.m. I discovered this the next morning. When I went to the office, Bernard couldn't talk to me, and closed his door, so I had to speak to one of the other agents. He informed me that they had called the police, but the police said they couldn't run the check. The leasing department (who had my car information on file) never claimed that they had no idea who's car it was, and left it out there with a smashed window the entire night. I'm lucky it wasn't stolen out of the lot.
Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Thank you so much for your comment about this development, for I have lost my consideration in moving there.
