Decent but.......

I have lived in Powder Mill Village for three months now; the parking is bad, and it is very noisy. If you are not parked by 8pm; you will walk far. They tow quickly, my friends car was towed at 12:30 am after they told us that towing starts at 2:30 am. The kids are loud, and your neighbors are loud. The windows and walls are thin and I can hear when the kids go to school, when they come home, and when they are playing. Avoid the terrance level at all costs, the kids play in these areas the most and view your terrance as an extension of the grass. I have had problems with my neighbor's children shouting through the windows to annoy my dog. The laundry room's are in odd numbered buildings every other building and hardly empty. The management is unresponsive. The walls are paper thin; I can hear the base line out of the music from three sides all the time. Other than that, when the kids are at school and parents at work, it is decent. You will never see the police that are supposed to patrol the complex. Avoid walking in any areas that are dark, the kids are smoking dope, although the police patrols these areas occasionaly.Only move in if you can't find anything better; you will never be able to hear yourself think, whatever hour of the day. I am moving to Gaithesburg in August 2004; and can't wait.
