Good value (for a student)

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004
I have stayed at Powder Mill Village for 2 years and the experiance has been okay.
The price is reasonable for college students
sharing and the location is not far from
the University of Maryland (BUS 86).
Parking: Parking is not as bad as people say
it is. Make sure you have a permit (they tow with a vengeance).
Noise: Make sure you get an apartment on the top floor (2nd Floor) and in the corner of the building. I have never had to call anyone to turn their radio down. If you choose correctly, you won't have a problem.
Cleaniliness: the apartment is old and roaches can be a problem. However, they can be removed.
Staff: staff is polite. They try their best under the circumstances.
Crime: Beltsville, in my view, is a whole lot better than other apartments. Since its not near a METRO, there is not much loitering, vandalism or other nonsense.
Disaster Response:
Their snow removal is horrible.
After the Hurricanes, lights were off 1 week.
They need to better prepare for natural disasters.
Overall, their staff is really nice which makes one forget the other little stuff that could use improvement.
