Run-down, noisy, and what's that smell'

I have the same complaints about this place that most people do- it's just not a very nice apartment complex. Everything is old and cheap and it shows, they need to do a lot of remodeling if they want to stay in business. The fridges are cheap and the stoves barely function. There are no dishwashers or washer dryers, which sucks. Definitely look inside the unit they are offering you before you sign the lease, some are better than others and in better locations.
There's a lot of noise and some sketchy people, but i've never felt unsafe, just annoyed.
The bugs are a big big problem. We keep our apt spotless to try and minimize the problem and there are still roaches EVERYWHERE.
The heating/cooling systems could be a lot better. The very large master bedroom only has one vent, and it's up in a corner near the ceiling. If the rest of the apartment is a comfortable temperature, then the master is freezing in the winter and hot in the summer.
The most annoying thing for me, though, hands down, is the smell. The apartments don't ventilate well at all, so you'll be smelling anything you cook for literally days...plus everything that your neighbors cook. The dumpsters reek too, which i know is to be expected, but it seems like they must not empty them often enough.
The one positive is the staff. They've always been great to me and my husband, absolutely no complaints there.
We're moving out soon, and i am counting the days. qmzu4EHcaGAPVCPw2Fai
