This place has the good and the bad apartments. So choose your place carefully, and make sure it isn't the lowest floor.

The good stuff
1) Conveniently located near the beltway. Good if you have a car.
2) Packages are received carefully by leasing staff
3) Decent looking apartments
4) Fairly spacious
5) Emergency maintenance fairly prompt
6) Area relatively safe.

The bad stuff
1) We had a very bad experience with the toilet overflowing. Sequence of events

a) toilet overflowed and all the bad stuff came to the carpet and kitchen. Apartment all stinky
b) Apartment unliveable for 2-3 days as cleaning slowly gets done.
c) Just when we think, all is back to normal, episode repeats.
d) At this point, mgmt is least accomodating, don't give us another apt(but try to con us into a full year more lease), and we have to live in fear of future episodes.

So, never take an apt on the lowest floor. Some apts have this repeatedly.

2) Roaches came suddenly and in large numbers. After 3 times of emptying the kitchen and extermination, I see only 1-2 every morning
3) Public transportation is a little far(about a mile depending on where you live) and so are grocery stores and all.
4) Pool is quite dirty, and so shouldn't be counted in.
5) Management is not accomodating regarding anything which involves money. They didn't compensate for stuff lost in the toilet overflow. Make sure you're very careful about rent payments.
6) If you're not a student who doesn't care much about the overall locality or neighbours, you're likely to find the place a bit run down.
