First off, this place isn't all bad (just 95% bad) there are some good and decent people who live there and it is located near two schools so it's relatively safe and cheap. The low level service and maintenance people are also good hard workers and keep the grounds pretty clean which is no small feat considering some residents think littering is ok. Now for the Bad:

Most of the management people at the office are horrible people. They aren't helpful and give off a nasty don't bother me you're not important vibe. They treat you like dirt; I always felt very uncomfortable in the office when I had to deal with them when say picking up a UPS package for example. They don't smile or say hello, they are really uptight, and not helpful at all. Maybe it's not their fault; maybe it's the Southern Management treating their employees badly that causes them to be unhelpful. In any case as a professional with a Masters degree who has lived in the midwest where people are generally nicer; I can say that many of the office people at Southern Management are rude and unhelpful.

By the way.. Get used to roaches, litter, the everpresent sound of the I95 highway nearby, as well as occasional sketchy people. As a man I never had any problems, but as a woman be prepared for heckling. The place is a dump. Don't live there. Pay a little more and get much better apartments at greenbelt.

Southern Managment has the most ghetto rude staff I have ever had the opportunity to experience in my life. ALL of their apartment staff is the same way and I wonder why. they are always young and ghetto.It is no coincidence that SM have the most negative review apartments.
