I lived at Avalon from the first weekend it opened until about a year later, and I really enjoyed my experience there. I rented a 1 br apt through the Montgomery Co Moderately Priced Dwelling Unit program, and in all of my interactions with the management they were very helpful and courteous, and were very flexible and understanding when I decided to move out. I didn't have any problems with the construction of my apartment, everything was brand new and worked like that (with the exception of the security system, which kept going off the first weekend I moved in even though it wasn't supposed to be activated). I had maintenence come one time (the door lock was keeping me out of the apt) at 5pm, and they came quickly and took care of everything. My utilities were rediculously low - I didn't have to turn the heat on once during the winter. I wouldn't describe the noise as anything out of the ordinary for an apt complex. This was my first solo apt after college, and my parents were extremely happy that I was in such a safe and well-kept place. I have and will recommend Avalon highly.
