GLENN DORRA 4998 BATTERY LN

I have stayed at the Glenn Dorra (4998 Battery Ln) for 1 year. Property Management repeatedly neglected to assist with my compliants of extreme noise from the upstairs apartment. In addition, they never required the tenant upstairs to lay down some floor carpeting ( a tenant requirement) on his hardwood making it difficult to coexist. Constantly made me feel as though i was living under a dinosaur Zoo. Too much noise Bobby (the property manager) was repeatedly rude and callous on the phone when dealing with my problem. I do not recommend staying at an apartment managed by Aldon Management as they could be nicer; however, they do respond quickly to repair requests. The other property manager there is a sweetheart. The inside of the Glenn Dorra is nasty and smelly (like old insane asylum) and the hallway walls have bubbles in the paint and the walls are chipping. The elevators are always having problems as well.{VERY SCARY :( } Basically, its a 60 year old building and is in DESPERATE NEED OF A MAKEOVER INSIDE AND OUTSIDE. Finally, the parking lot is not clean with many nails on the asphalt and the building has a big ol construction dumpster in the back. Flat tires. :( Somebody say "Langley Park"!!!! Believe me...rent here and you will ask yourself if you "really" live in Bethesda. The GLENN DORRA IS A ROTTEN BUILDING.

While I am completely in agreement with this reviewer, I don't believe that it applies to the "Battery Lane Apartments" that are managed by a company other than Aldon Management. I also live in the Glenn Dorra and cannot wait to get out.

I've lived in 4998 Battery Lane for 4 years now, and although it isn't luxurious, it is CHEAP! I have an extremely spacious 1300 square foot apartment. I'm on the top floor, so noise does not affect me so much, but I have heard others complain about noise from upstairs neighbors. The insulation is not good. So maybe consider renting here if you want to live in an excellent location, for a great price, and can secure yourself an apt. on the top floor. BTW, since the beginning of 2008, the apartments have been renovated as and when tenants move out. Newly renovated apartments have carpets, dish washers, upgraded kitchens and bathrooms.

I agree with this reviewer. This place is a dump, run, steal do whatever to get out of this dump!
