There are many other quality buildings in the Bethesda area, so don't rent here.
There are zero amenities at this building. The management office is only available from 9-11am, sometimes not at all. I think the resident manager goes home to watch soaps after 11am, because she is never there, unless there are vacant apartments to fill.
The resident manager is very inept, very unreliable, and never follows through with anything she needs to do. Phone messages are never returned.
The building is getting old and as things break, they replace them with equally old items from vacant apartments. There are frequent a/c problems and water leaks from the ceilings and walls as well. There is no central a/c. The a/c unit is one standalone unit that makes a lot of noise.
The building lobby and hallways are 90 degrees in summer and 60 degrees in the winter. They don't climate control the building very well and the common areas are very dirty.
This is a very poor managed building. My boyfriend told me the owner, Nathan Landow, has broken into tenant's apartments and tenant's have called the police on him.
Do a Google search on him. He is a very shady character with links to organized crime and obstruction of justice. The Office of Independent Counsel and FBI have investigated him at one time or another.
He owns Fairmont Plaza, Crescent Plaza and The Seasons Apartments in Bethesda. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT RENT FROM ANY OF THESE BUILDINGS. Nathan Landow is criminal and a bad landlord. AVOID! There are plenty of other quality apartments in Bethesda to rent from.
