The actual building is awesome. I don't fear rodents or bug infestation like most DC area apartment buildings. I do fear the sleeping homeless people in the stairwells, but I've only come across them twice.
The actual staff is not as cool. The concierge never seem to be able to answer my questions and the sales team is only nice when they want to sell you something. The security guy at the Concierge desk at night has the worst phlegm problem and literally gurgles his bacteria on the half hour. Oftentimes the front desk is not manned when I really need it to be and the staff oftentimes lose your repair request slips. The amenities are dwindling due to economic problems but they are not bad.
The location CANNOT be beat. It's close the Bethesda Metro and downtown Bethesda, across the street from a Safeway, and in front of a Trolley stop to take you around town. I am moving out because I don't think I get good value for the money I pay for the apartment AT ALL, but if you have the money, it's not a bad place to live...except if you want to be in your apartment during the day when there is SUCH HUGE racket due to balcony construction.
