Overall, it's a great place to live. It's rather expensive; only $200-300 more than other student dominated apartment buildings. The perks: it's quiet, maintance is great and fast, the apartments are nice (before you move in, your apartment is cleaned, painted (spots or where needed on wall(s) ), and management is very friendly. There's a gym, grocery store, wholefoods, starbucks, wow cow, and such within walking distance. And there are balconys, which is great if you're a smoker!
Cons: Again, it's expensive. Parking is $5o a month, but with the pass the apartment building gives you, you're able to park on campus without paying the university fees. Sometimes they're a little to strict with noise (depending on who your neighbor is; my friend had a law student next door last semester, and she could never play music). Other than that, it's a great place to live. You meet a number of people, and etc.
Finally, beware of the shuttle. Last I heard AU was getting a new shuttle company, so it should be better in the fall. Check out the building, ask for a tour, and just give it a try.
