We recently purchased a condo here at Parkside and it has been great for us. We have 3 children and so we are really excited about the great school district here, Garrett Park Elementary, Tilden Middle and Walter Johnson High. There is also a large,wonderful pool area with a gated child pool and I hear there is a new playground in the works. Our condo has hardwood floors and looks out to the forest and a porch which is very beautiful and gives it a single-family home feel. The streets are tree-lined and the lawns are well kept. We have very nice neighbors who have given us a hand on various occasions when we were in need. Although it is not cheap to live in Bethesda, we paid less than half as much as the single family homes that are just up the street from us, so it is a really good deal. It is also a great investment as it is always a good idea to invest in lower end prices in upper end areas.
