I'm a renter in Parkside, and I've lived here about 2 years. All in all, I really like it and would recommend it to others.

Parkside's location is great. It's very close to the woods, so I often see deer on my way to work-- but it's close enough to the metro that I'm 15-20 minutes from the city.

THE GOOD: Really close to Metro (10 minute walk where I am), good parking, beautiful grounds. All utilities and a pool membership are included in rent. The management seems responsible and attentive; they publish a newsletter (which, incidentally, is a good way to find out about rentals here). They host community parties and such. Maintanence is prompt.

THE BAD: Some buildings can be older. We had an ant problem when we moved in, but the condo association took care of it when we complained. The hallways can be noisy, and I can hear my neighbors in my living room. However, the bedrooms are in the back, away from the halls, so I don't have noise problems when I sleep. You can't control when the association switches from AC to heat every fall.

All in all, I recommend Parkside!
