Not what it is made out to be

I am an owner so I think I can speak better then most of the renter profiles. Management DOES come in more then once a year. The snow is NOT plowed right away as evidence to the recent snow and ice fall of Jan 2009. Management does NOT follow through on promises. Management 'promised' they would contact to install the Verizon system that EVERYONE in Parkside received for FREE. That was 2 years ago.
Furthermore, I have had 3, count them 3 floods. Parkside 'promised' to fix the problems and repair my ceilings. Again, that was over a year ago. I have all emails to prove it.
EVEN WORSE, Parkside makes up or should I say OVEREXAGERATES problems in the units. My HVAC unit was flagged and told my repair would be $3500. When contacting outside sources, I came across one for less then $1000.
The worst part about this place. The condo fee has gone ridiculous. In all the years I have lived here my condo fee has gone up 58%. 58%, yup. The boast about how for years it didn't go up at all. That number is null and void since the most turnover has been in the last 10 years and anyone that rents their unit should not even be counted. Their fee simply gets passed onto the renter.
They base the number on the square feet of your unit, which is just dumb. If you have a 3 bedroom unit but live alone, you pay the most of anyone in the neighborhood. But if there are 5 people packed into a 2 bedroom place, they pay significantly less; even though they use 100-200% more utilities.
Parksides pool is a joke. The hours that it is open is condusive to retirees and young kids. For after work tennents, such as myself, there are no lanes to swim or even really use it.
And for gods sake, revise this stupid pet policy. Now that the building across the street allow animals, they are all over. And lets not forget WE LIVE NEXT TO ROCK CREEK. I can guaruntee you that on ANY night I will have one of the following animals:
Deer, raccoons, rabbits, fox, mice, rats, well you name it.
Great place to live.....yes, 100%. Location can not be beat. However, management is a joke.
