This building is disgusting and I would not recommend it to anyone. Kick in the extra few hundred a month for a different building, or move to another area where the rent will get you a NICE apartment.

The building is infested with roaches. I've managed to keep them (mostly) out of my place, but it is not uncommon to see them in the stairwells.

Speaking of stairwells, I am very familiar with them since I have to take the stairs every morning rather than wait 15 minutes for an elevator.

The parking lot (which we pay for) is often left open, allowing anyone access to the building since the internal doors are not locked. In addition, local valets often park here, leaving few spaces for the tenants.

The lights in the parking lot are often out for weeks at a time, something very disturbing for a single woman.

Every spring I have to spend at least two nights in a hotel because my apartment reaches temperatures around 100 when the AC still hasn't been turned on. Even when it is on, it doesn't work well.

My refrigerator freezes my milk, yet my ice cream melts. Don't try to make coffee and toast at the same time, a circuit will blow.

I have never been able to get the decades of grime off of my bathroom tiles or kitchen walls.

There is construction going on next door every day from around 6:30 am. Sometimes even on Saturdays. We were never notified of this.

I think Southern Management is well aware that they can demolish this building and sell the land for a pretty penny, and are basically willing to let the building get to the point of condemnation before they do this.
