Triangle Towers

My husband and I lived in Triangle Towers from August 2004-August 2006. We've enjoyed our stay. The price is pretty good for downtown Bethesda. The location is great - the walk to metro is about 10 min. but at least that ensured we got that minimal amount of exercise each day, plus it's a nice walk through town. There is also a free shuttle to metro not far from the building. We had a 1 BR - about 900SF. The view was nice - floor to ceiling windows in living room. Nice hardwood floors throughout. Appliances in kitchen are nothing fancy. Dated tile and cabinets in kitchen and bath, nothing fancy. Enough closet space for a 1 BR. Noise not too bad considering it's in the downtown area - pretty much always had to keep windows closed at night though. Never had any problems with security. Front desk staff weren't always the friendliest but nothing to really complain about either. Managemetn and maintenance very friendly. Parking rather expensive at $100 per month. They raised rents a lot this year - they also are finishing up some pretty substantial renovations to the hallways and entrance to the building, perhaps that's part of the reason for the increase in rents. The renovations are nice/average- some of the work wasn't of the best quality (e.g. paint on new doors and elevators scratched/scuffed within days of being finished). Wish they would do some renovation inside the apartments (e.g. kitchen/baths) instead of just in the public areas. We are moving because we want something larger and didn't want to pay over $2000 a month for a 2 BR in this building. We will miss it though.
