I lived at Autumn Woods Apartments for one year, from 2001-2002.

Just a little background first, you are asked to pay quite a bit more for an apartment with it's private balcony. One that you believe you will be able to enjoy over the course of your lease!

Now, I was one of those that payed a bit more to get the private balcony, and I must say the actual apartment itself was was satisfying. Well exept the thin walls. It felt like I was living in a hotel room because I could hear the normal tone conversations of my neighbors and when tenants complained to the rental office, the rental office sent out a notice saying please try to have your conversations away from the vents in the apartment. (far from a solution) Besides the paper thin walls, the apartment was satisfactory.

However, the most disappointing of all is the actual environment. Now with all this extra money that I paid to have one of the better apartments, you would think I would be able to enjoy it in peace. Quite the contrary, just about every night there were vulgar mouthed teenagers loitering outside of my building. They yelled, cursed, and crowded the walk ways. When trying to enter the building, they would hesitate to move. They smoked marijuana and many of them didn't even live in the complex but conviently decided to hang out there. They through eggs against people's windows and threw fire crackers on your balcony.

Now the apartment complex acts fast to tow an automobile if it doesn't have an Autumn Woods sticker visible, but the neigborhood terrors don't hesitate to vandalize or break into or steal a vehicle. However, with the amount of thefts and crime towards vehicles you would think the apartment complex would consider a stict solution, but they are just concerned about your sticker being visible in the car window.

To sum this all up: I lived there for one year and got the following for an expensive one bedroom apartment.
1. Balcony window egged and threw firecrackerss
2. Vehicle broken into (stereo stolen)
3. Didn't feel comfortable having guest because they wouldn't be able to get through the walk way because of the crowding people.
4. Couldn't sleep have the time because of noise from neighbors, and noise outside.
5. When calling police in this neighborhood you are put on hold.
6. Vehicle towed when I first moved there because I didn't have a sticker yet. (Didn't get a refund, $140 down the drain.
