I lived in the apartment for several months and everything seemed to be fine. When the winter months approached, mice started to enter into my apartment through a hole behind the dishwasher. I called the rental office to maintain the problem. They said that they would not catch the mice but they would give me sticky pads to catch the mice. Between October and December of 2006, a total of 13 mice had entered my apartment, all coming from the same place (behind the dishwasher). Maintanence did come out to seal the whole, however, they were unsuccessful. They told me that mice are so flexible so its hard to prevent them from entering my apartment. I called in November to see if I could get out of my lease; explaining that I had paid rent on time every month and that it was unsanitary to live that way. Carlos told me that he would call me back but never did. I called back a month later and he said that he would look into it. DOes it really take 30 days to tell me whether I could break my lease. The mice got so bad at one point that I had to stay in a hotel ($87). I contacted the finanical advisor, explaining that I would be app. $100.00 short for January's rent. Do you know these fools posted a huge note on my front door saying that I was late on rent. I spoke with the people at the rental office and they apologized, mentioning that they had not spoken with the finanical advisor. I called the corparate office, speaking with Carey Butler. I was trying to do whatever I could to get out of my lease, because the apartment was mice infested. Carey Butler told me that if mice were not completely covering the floor then the apartment was not considered 'infested'. She said that I would not be reimbursed for my stay at the hotel because I should have stayed confined to my bedroom (because the mice were only in the kitchen and living/dining area). I told her that my rent covers the entire apartment, not just the bedroom. I also called to speak to Pamela Martin and she returned my call informing me that I should call and speak to someone else. The people there are rediculous and do not conduct business professionally, nor ethically. I asked to speak to David Hillman's (he is the owner of the complex)secretary Michelle and she was very nasty to me. The first time we spoke she refused to give me any contact information for Mr. Hillman. I faxed a letter to Mr. Hillman seeing if I could be refunded any of my rent money because of the living conditions. David Hillman has not responded to my fax to this day.
P.S
If you dont mind people coming into your apartment at least once a month for a mandatory extermination then you should love Gateway Garders.

Wow, that's alot of mice, yeah they definitely don't act like it's their priority to keep you mice free, I only had 2 in my 2 years living there but I guess they did not do a good job of sealing off ALL the spots mice could be coming in at.
So, where'd you move after this and how do you like them?
