First off, I understand it's hard to believe some of these reviews because it could be an employee tryna give a positive review or a bitter former resident who got kicked out when they didn't pay the rent or maybe even a competing rental community. Anyway, I read some other reviews and can't see how things were so bad for them when they weren't for me but whatever. Maybe their building was different because they DO have like 20 buildings so... but I was closer to rogers heights elementary school.

Parking is bad most times in the evenings, some nights you might have to park a few lots down or maybe even park in the school parking lot which you have to move your car out of there by like 7 am I think because the school sent a notice to all the gateway residents saying they were going to start enforcing that because teachers start to show up and need that parking. But I like the lighting, the lights are very bright so you feel a little safe (that's not to say stuff still can't happen, stuff can happen ANYWHERE these days).

I WOULD SAY GO AROUND THERE AT NIGHT A COUPLE TIMES SO YOU CAN SEE FOR YOURSELF IF YOU LIKE IT OR NOT.

Ok, second, maintenance issues have been taken care of in reasonable time (haven't really had much go wrong). They have laundry in every building, mines was in good shape, had to have a key to get in there...

I have not seen any roaches at all, no lie, that is one main thing i loved about this apartment but like I said before maybe different buildings are different. I don't live there anymore cuz I moved out after me and my girl broke up. I have been to the apartment since then and it has been dirty with dishes everywhere and everything for weeks and still no roaches, I was truly amazed, so was my ex, lol. However, on 2 different occasions I saw a small mice. Each time the rental office came out after hours (after i left a couple messages, i guess dude mighta been busy, he IS on call) and gave me glue boards to put around the apartment and came and got it when the mouse got stuck to it. I did not like the mice thing AT ALL. I called and complained and they had the nerve to say they just field mice (cuz of all the trees and stuff around there but that was some bs, that was the 1 thing i didn't like but that was only 2 times since 2005.

All in all I didn't have many problems with the apt. It was nice to have utilities included and not have to worry about that changing monthly, nice to be able to leave the heat on all i want too (even tho when it starts to get cold for winter they might not cut it on soon as u want it too). It was rare to see people loitering.
