I just separated from my wife so i was kind of desperate to get a place to stay, So i did a little digging. I was looking for
an all Utility kind of place so i would not have to pay for electricity since i run some Servers. So i chose Gateway Gardens
Based on the review i read on this site, I felt the noise and parking would not be all that bad, It is really bad trust me
I can't understand how such an apartment would pass an Home Inspection, The walls are so thin that you would think it was made of Paper
If a Baby runs upstairs it sounds like a NFL player was running. I was really surprised when i went upstairs to tell my Neighbor to stop running and to my surprise
it was a 3 year old girl who was just learning how to walk that was making all the noises, I believe that Some home inspector was bribed to pass that apartment
and no home should have such thin walls. On the parking issue, its bad but if you are a 9-5 kind of guy like me who doesn't go
movies/clubs at night , you ought to be fine because the parking fills up by 9:30pm every night, after that getting a parking spot would be like winning a lottery and the
nearest place to park would be the school next door (but i would not advise this for anyone especially females--safety issue)
the good side of Gateway is Free Utilities, i run my servers 24 7 and normally i would be getting a bill of like $450/Month on Electricity
but here its free. The Heat and AC works, The apartments are generally clean, The Laundry Machines don't work, No roaches/rats. But personally i would
prefer Roaches/Rats and having a quiet Home. And if you are still bent on coming i would suggest you get some Ear Plugs and Sleeping pills, because you would need this
(unless If you don't get the top floor). Maintenance is very slow. its well lighted but another thing one would notice is that all the apartments are cramped up
in a very small area(which explains the No parking complaint) seems a developer who was more interested in how much money they could raise built the place which is why i
thing something illegal occurred between the developer and the county officials, because in the whole PG county i am yet to see a huge pile of apartments cramped in
so little a Land area
and for that 34% review you see up here i think its wrong, the apartment folks might have messed with this web site , it should be like 4%
During my student years I have stayed in apartments you would term Ghetto since i am from a Third world Country and not born with a Silver Spoon like
most Americans,I can live under any condition but with this apartment i can't wait to leave at the end of my lease, it's just not worth punishing
one self because of a little $$ Savings
