Well.....I read all of the reviews just about, visited to property, and drove by prior to moving to Park Place and I can say that almost everything written about I have experienced since I signed my lease and moved in.

Originally when I came Park Place looking for an apartment I dealt with Jackie. If you see a tall dark skinned woman who looks as though she is a recovering crack head....DO NOT DEAL WITH HER. She is so full of CRAP that it is not funny. I have never dealt with anyone like her in my life. After blowing up at her in the office, because she gave me the run around, never fully answered my questions when I called and continued to lie and tell me that she only had an apartment on the 8th floor, after I told her on a few occasions that the 8th floor was out of the question. I finally had enough. She acted as if she was holding on the lower level units to sell lease to her home girls or pay off some of her tick bills, I took another route to get my foot in the door. But, I guess I got what I deserved after knowing that one of my very good friends had dealt with her and came to sign her lease with her U haul full to only find out that Jackie had bull shyted her so much that she did not even tell her that it was not ready when she visited the complex earlier that day.

So.....I came back this time I dealt with Megan. I will say that she went above and beyond. I walked in and during my first visit with Megan I walked out with the apartment that we wanted on the floor that we wanted. Megan was a little hard to contact, she later informed me that she was in school and that she was only in the office during certain days. However, she made it her business to contact me late in the evening (after 7pm) when she knew that I would be home to speak with her to discuss information with me.

The condition of the building is not the best. I look at it like you get what you pay for. I am sure that is why they have what I consider to be the best deal in town with their rent special. The apartment that I have is a very nice size. For this to be a high rise the apartments are very, very quite. I have never heard anyone over my head. I think that I may have an upgraded unit. I have newer appliances and cabinets. OMG! the bedrooms are the back in the day size apartment...VERY BIG. The heating system seems to do well. I heard all about the roach problem and I can say that I do not have one. I have a friend that has been here longer than I have and has NEVER seen one in her unit. Although, I will admit I have seen a few in the hall ways. The stairways are in need of some paint. I take my laundry out because the basement looks like something that you would see in a scary movie. It seems to be very unsafe and a major health concern. I went down stairs and I did not want to even in hale. The elevators seem old and I take the steps for the most part. I have lived in the area for the last 13 years and would have never given thought to living in Park Place... but I am here. I know that they are in the process of selling the buildings and with this I hope that will bring some much needed cosmetic attention and upgrades to Park Place. I have only been here a few weeks. I will be sure to update my posting soon.
