EEEEK!!! A MILLION ROCAHES and MICE...YUCKY!!!

BEFORE you move to The Phoenix, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
1) READ YOUR LEASE before signing to prevent leasing fraud. The leasing consultants are duping new tenants -- they are now charging existing tenants who have been living in the complex since 2006 for gas, water and electric. Why pay these fees and rent starting at $1060.00 when you can get a Condo and own!
2) DO NOT SIGN A LEASE! Trust me, this place is not worth living in, especially not if your a human being. There are no extra amenities...all you are paying for is your four walls, broken elevators that don't ever work and a raggedy small swimming pool.
3) ROACHES...ROACHES...AND MORE GOT DAYUM ROACHES! MICES, EVEN DEAD MICE FOUND IN NEIGHBORS APARTMENT. It doesn't matter if you call an exterminator, the roaches will not stop coming. They crawl on your dishes all over the kitchen on your sofas all over the living room.
4) Maintenance Sucks! If you need anything fixed, maintenance catches an attitude as if you are bothering them. Usually, it takes anywhere from 4 to 6 wks before they decide to help you -- let alone fix something!
5) DID I SAY ROACHES' EEEKKK!!! A MILLION ROAHES...YUCKY!!! Even in your apt. hallways. It's like they hide under the carpet in the hallways and find a way into your apartment. I went as far as having to leave my kitchen light on before I go to sleep to try to make sure they don't come out.
6) Please do not move here thinking that you will get a special or discount on rent! The manager Sherri Payne promised me free rent and $300 off second months rent but it took me approx. 15 months to get my money! And on top of that, I never received the $500 referral fee for moving someone else in. They try to manipulate every situation to make sure that you come out short in the end.
7) The leasing consultants do not care about you once you sign your lease. They seem to be all smiling and pleasant and nice when you're a prospective tenant, but once your lease is signed and they've pulled you in -- it's a rap! Don't expect them to be professional anymore. It goes from "Hello Ma'am, how may I help you today" to "Yeah, whazzup and what you need". SERIOUSLY!
8) The elevators are never working. The laundry machines are still broke after I made a complaint about three months ago -- if you lose money the apt. will not reimburse you. You just have to suck it up and trust that the next machine will work.
9) The gated doors in the back of the 5802 bldg. are never locked and literally stay ajar at odd hours of the night. Security stops working after midnight so if you're coming home late -- please be careful because you are a victim. (In fact, a few months ago there was a homicide in bldg. 5800 and who knows what really happened)
10) Don't waste your time living here because honestly it is not worth it.
11) The utilities are charged based on how they feel -- it doesn't matter what size or how many people live in your unit, the utilities are charged based on how they feel. Please note, there is no meter to determine individual usage of utilities. The leasing office just started charging utilities around 2008 early in the year. Trust me, it is not worth it. The Donaldson Group is trifling with how they treat their property and it's even worse how they treat tenants.
12) If you lose your parking pass, they will charge you $50 for replace. If you lose any of your keys (mailbox, apartment or front door) you will be charged $50 for replacement. RIDICULOUS!
13) ROACHES ARE EVERYWHERE. I HAD NO IDEA BEFORE I MOVED BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME THERE WERE NONE...I FOUND OUT WHEN I WAS LAYING ON MY COUCH WITH MY LITTLE BABY NEICE AND A ROACH WAS CRAWLING ON HER LEG. I ALMOST THREW MY NIECE BECAUSE I GOT SCARED AND DID NOT EXPECT ROACHES TO BE CRAWLING IN AND AROUND MY FURNITURE...DISGUSTING...
THERE ARE FAR WORSE THINGS ABOUT THE PHOENIX THAT I COULD LIST BUT MY FINGERS ARE TIRED FROM TYPING SO PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU EVEN THINK OF MOVING TO THE PHOENIX. IT IS NOT A SMART IDEA UNLESS YOU JUST ARE NOT USED TO LIVING LIKE A HUMAN BEING...
P.S. The rent starts at $1060-1100 plus utilities anywhere from $200-345 -- It DOES NOT matter if you have a one or two bedroom, your utilities are charged at any rate and if you do not pay you will receive a letter for eviction. SERIOUS STUFF please take this as a WARNING!!!
By the way, I plan on moving from this dirty, ghetto, roach/mice infested community!
