When you go to renew your lease they jack up the price 10%-15%.
They care more for making money off of new renters than existing tenets.
My rent would go from 1140 to 1260 per month

Obviously they do rent increases differently for each apartment/lease dates (I think rent increases are higher during the summer bc more people move during the summer). But, I would say check with local laws bc there are maximum rent increase percentages mandated by law because that does sound like an awful high increase. If it's above legal maximums than pursuing legal action might be worth looking into.
