Out of curiosity, I went on ApartmentRatings.com to read the reviews for the apartment community I live at, and I was shocked! My husband, children and myself have lived at Governors Green for almost four years now and are very happy here. I couldn't believe all of the negative things I had read! We first moved in when it was managed by the old company, Archstone. Once the new management company, Equity Residential took over, we were pleasantly surprised. The office staff was very friendly and actually took the time to get to know us and introduce themselves. They made us feel like we mattered and weren't just another tenant. If they said something would be done, it was done immediately instead of having to wait like we had with the other company. We try not to bother the staff often, we know they are busy. However, when we call in service requests, they have always been done right away. We love how close it is to Route 301, the shopping and all of the restaurants. I'm not sure why people are complaining about fireworks - they only last for 10 minutes, once or twice a week. If nothing else, it's something I can take my kids outside to see! The only issue that I have, is that parking is somewhat tight on the weekends, because of the Carabbas restaurant on the property. Overall, I couldn't have found anywhere better to live!

You must be an employee trying to boost the ratings. First of all, I have been here for 4 years as well. The new management has only been here since July AND they kept the same staff that Archstone had. So I DO NOT see a change in the overall atmoshpere of the staff. When I first moved here I was told that the walls were solid and the noise levels were low. However, I can hear my surrounding neighbors phone ringing, when they sneeze, and their alarms in the morning. Yes, the fireworks only last for about 10 minutes after every home game but they usually start around 10pm. If you have children with an early bed time or need to get up early yourself, this will get annoying. Also, there has been a string of robberies/break-ins in the recent weeks. The new management company was not forth coming with the information. The sent notification out after residents started calling and questioning. I originally moved here for the school district the apartments were located in however the school board changed the boundaries. Eventhough I don't mind the school my child attends now but my residency leaves much to be desired. Neighbors constantly leaving their trash in the hall, ants invading my child's room EVERY SPRING/SUMMER, wind blowing in through the windows/doors that are not properly weather proofed/sealed, no linen closets, and having to go grocery shopping every week because the Refrigerator/Freezer is too small to hold any food for a family of more than one.
