My husband and I have lived in Heather Ridge Apartments for several months now and have had no major problem. The few matintainance calls we placed (clogged drains, broken AC and broken garbage disposal) were fixed either the same day (in the case of the AC) or the very next day. We have used many of the community ammenities (pool, workout room, racquet ball court, grills etc) and found them all to be adequate.

One review mentioned a quick turnover. Since my husband and I are military we will not be staying at Heather Ridge long and it seems that there are several military families in the complex, which might account for this phenomon. I do not however believe the turnover rate to be accessive usually only one or two apartments a week if that.

Overall we are very happy with our 1 bedroom with a den. We occassionally here our neighbors specifically the ones above us, but that is really a factor of apartment living.

As to the trash problem, it seems that if the residents properly disposed of their trash that this would not be an issues. On one occassion I have seen a maintanance person pulling trash out of the compactor on the weekend because people did not push their bags to the back and so the compactor was not able to do its job.

The office staff is very friendly, but I would warn a newcomer to be sure to double check all of the paperwork. They may mean well, but we have had several mistakes made with our rental agreement (name misspellings and wrong lease rate. They usually correct the problem very quickly and seem apologetic, but you should definately double check them.

Overall, I say a good experience. Good luck finding an apartment.
