I'll address each issue included in the questions below.

1. Parking - If the code words "Reserved parking" for a fee means there is not enough parking for those who don't PAY. If you get home after 8pm there is a good chance you will not have ANY parking on the complex. A few times I had to park my car in the handicap spots.

2. I could hear my neighbors next door and my master bedroom had a wall that faced the staiwell. NOISE is not the correct word to convey this problem.

3. Grounds - Nothing great about this

4. Safety - Since parking is an issue there is a good chance you may have to walk a long distance to get to your car safely. My car and numerous others cars were broken into. The theives use to practice all the time in my car. Thanks goodness they never took my car but some residents were not that lucky.

5. Construction - I had a 3 bedroom apartment and the heatpump had a hard time keeping the 3rd bedroom warm or cool.

6. Maintenance Service Quality - These are the same people who could not negotiate the big snow storm of 2003. My new complex had the parking area and sidewalks cleard the next day after the snow storm! This group still had not properly moved all the snow. I had to postpone my move out because I could not get my stuff out.

P.S. The area of my new home had more snow than Bowie and the major areas were cleard by the next day.

7. Staff - changed faster than the weather.

8. Overall - The community LOOKS great but the police office that completed my police report when my car was broken into asked me why I would move to BOWIE. According to the police officer they have the worst crime problems in the area. The statisics on the official goverment sites do not state that.

Plus the school system is the WORST in the state. Official govt sites do not reflect that problem.

I think the police officer was trying to make conversation. There is no way in hell Bowie has the worse crime rate in PG County. It's just not possible. Only an office who has never worked in any other part of the county would make a comment like that. If you don't believe me then drive through any Suitland, Forrestville or Capitol Heights apartment complex at night and compare it to Bowie Town Center. For the record, I've lived in apartments in both areas, Archstone Bowie Town Center as well as Suitland, Forrestville and Capitol Heights. Theres no comparison. Bowie is a dream compared to other parts of the county, trust me!
