We have lived here for a few months now, and with two dogs our options were limited. Parking can be tricky, but we have a garage, which has alleviated those issues for us (husband parks in the lot and I park in the garage). I think they are on the expensive side, but you pay a premium for living in this vicinity of DC. Unless you want to live in a total dive in other parts of PG County, you're going to pay a premium in rent.

If you take a look around the complex, 95% of the people drive nicer cars and I happen to think that this is a great tell tale of the 'clientele' of the community. These people obviously make decent money and take pride in their 'things.' That translates to me as being respectful neighbors.

As for the gate, I think it helps with crime even if it's not working all the time (by the way, it wasn't working the first few weeks we moved in, but it has worked perfectly ever since they fixed it). It's a deterrent for riff raff -- why bother with an apartment complex that has this added security feature when there are plenty of others around that don't' Also, all apartments have perimeter alarms, which are up to the residents to activate and use.

The neighborhood itself is extremely quiet -- we were most surprised by that. Even on a Friday night, we hardly hear anyone driving around with loud music, etc. There are a lot of families, which I also think helps to keep the noise and raucous down.

We haven't had the need to call in maintenance repairs ... yet.

All in all, we are pleased especially since we are military and had to move FROM a house (way bigger than our apartment) TO an apartment. That type of move is for the birds, but this experience has been great so far.
