I was scheduled to move into Archstone Bowie Twn Center on July 7th. I had headaches all the way up to my move-in date, and ended up canceling the move. I felt that if I was going to have such a hard time with these folks before I move in, what would I endure after moving in''' Just to name a few:

I could never get anyone to return my calls, even when it was time for them to tell me if my application was approved. I had to call several times a day, and still had to leave messages.
Every time that I went to view the community at night (between 10pm and 12am), the gate was wide open for anyone to drive in, I saw police activity as well.
I was quoted one move-in fee, and a day before my move in, I was informed of an additional &980.00 that I had to pay!
I was promised that I could view my new apartment a day before move-in, but as of 6pm the day before, the rental office didn't know if the apartment was ready or not!
I came to the rental office at 6:30pm, the day before move in to discuss the issue of it not being ready, and encountered a very short-tempered, rude associate. He even raised his voice and didnt care that I was due to move in the next day without knowing the status of my apartment!
I am not one to believe the hype, but please heed the comments about Archstone. They live up to their bad name!
