If you are looking for a nice new apartment, do not be fooled by Meridian at Bowie. Here is how they will try to pull the wool over your eyes:

1) The leasing staff and management will be friendly and attentive when you are a perspective tenant. They may even seem to be knowledgeable and competent. This could not be farther from the truth. I have never lived at a place that had more rude, unfriendly, incompetent, apathetic, and down right unwilling-to-help management. Do not expect good customer service from the leasing agent who makes you feel as if every request or question asked him isn't worth his time to answer or from the manager who is always "out" and "will be back in 15 minute" (and yet never returns) once you have become a tenant. Any actual customer service is saved for people hoping to rent - not already renting.

2) You will be shown all the amenities you will be able to utilize while living at Meridian at Bowie. They may seem attractive as well, but try actually using them! The workout facility is open only during business hours, so if you happen to work normal business hours you won't be able to use them during the week. The key fob they give residents is useless because management locks the doors after they leave for the night. Also, when anything breaks down or gets stolen (and that happens frequently) it takes literally months for management to fix them or replace anything.

3) You will be shown the manicured grounds at the complex. However, the leasing agents will never take you back to where the one dumpster for the entire community is located. And do you know why they won't take you back there' Because it is always overflowing with trash that piles up day after day. This is not an occasional occurrence. It happens EVERY week! You can let the management know that the one dumpster is not enough or that it is not properly working, but they will not take any action.

4) You will be shown the gate that "secures" the residents' vehicles and homes. Living there for even one day will show you what a joke that gate actually is. Its one effective duty is to slow down the residents wanting to get in. Any person not a resident that wants to drive in needs only to wait for a few moments until a resident also needs to get in. And, the gate closes so slowly that an endless stream of cars can get in after the first one opens the gate.

5) This one is worth repeating again. The management staff are completely rude. They have no concern for you once you have signed the lease. You are bound to the contract, so they can treat you however they like. If you do sign a lease, ask them to at least give a kiss first before they begin to have their way with you. There will be no more wooing afterwards.
