We liked the fact that these were new apartments when we moved in, but little did we know how bad the noise problems were going to be. The appliances, fixtures and carpet are typical builder quality. The carpet padding is so thin that we actually felt the nails and sharp objects whenever we walked barefoot in our apartment. The water pressure in the showers are so weak that replacing the shower head wasn't enough to increase the water pressure. Let's just say I had many bad hair days as a result of the weak water pressure.
Noise is a huge problem as we could hear our neighbors around us and anyone walking in the hallway. We could hear our neighbors and their children sneeze, laugh, cough, talk, yell, walk, etc. The biggest problem was the loud music when our neighbors turned up their music to the point that our floors were actually shaking from the loud bass. The floors and ceilings in the apartment aren't insulated to help block out the noise problems. So if you have children, this wouldn't be a suitable place to have them run around or else your neighbors will complain all the time about the noise level. I've never been in an apartment where I could hear everything my neighbor's doing, and I mean EVERYTHING!
The builder definitely used cheap products in the apartment, and it definitely shows.
