I lived there from the time I first moved out of my parent's home in December 2000 to April 2002. It was my very first apartment and it totally sucked. I've seen homeless dudes living out of cardboard boxes that were more spacious than the 1 bedroom I had. I got stuck living underneath some trifiling, ghetto crack fiend who loved to play loud music at all hours of the night and day. Occassionally, she'd have guests over and they would smoke weed together into the wee hours of the morning. On weekends, the people on the 3rd floor would have all-day rap concerts. Heating was inadequate in the wintertime, as was the AC in the summertime.

Gotham City don't have nothing on the neighborhood around Addison Crapel. Even Batman couldn't do anything to take a bite of out of the crime going on, in and around the complex. I once caught a dope fiend trying to break into my crib through my bedroom window, one evening. The management sent out notices practically every other week about sexual assaults, robberies, and shootings that happened on the complex. I even got robbed once coming home from work one evening. If I wasn't carrying over $600 in my pocket at the time, I probably wouldn't be sitting here typing this right now.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, there was a really bad fire in one of the buildings on the block I was living on. A woman died jumping out of a 3rd story window, trying to escape it. It was all over the news. The property manager, Mrs. Harrison, was alright. She had a few marbles loose in her cerebellum, but she was mostly cool with me. I don't know if this place has gotten better or worse since I was living there, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

No,not much has changed @ Addsion Chapel. They charge bogus late fees and pocket money, paint chipping in your apt. complaining won't get you anything but on Ms. Carrie's shyt list. The water bugs are out of control. I don't see many roaches in my UNIT but in the hallway and other tenants have told me of even having mice. My stay here was not good at all and it's a very low budget apt. complex; needs to be renovated it's going into '08 who still uses AC units?; the mngt. is very uneducated and are not fit to run a leasing office. Beware of Ms.Carrie's nasty attitude and lack of people skills.
