Don't do it...
I lived here since 2007. The only reason i stayed an extra year was so i could help my sister with her bills when she lost her job, so i couldnt really afford a new place....
But take my advice when i say dont do it.. Where do i start.
Ok, well first off the apartments are too small, i know thats something we knew b4 moving in but still, the showcase apartment looks nothing like the real deal. They trick you with the colorful paint and nice furniture in the showcase apartment..

You have one (window) air conditioning unit in the living room that doesnt even cool the whole apartment... And when my window unit broke, i kept calling them everyday about the issue, it took 26 days for them to finally replace it... and those were the hottest 26 summer days we had in 2009.

The first couple months i lived here I heard multiple gunshots outside my window, so i had to move my bed, scared that a bullet could come through the window at anytime. And it was more than once i heard gunshots at night. But lateley i havnt heard any so i guess thats one plus.

People used to park behind the old wonder bread shop (which is now a furniture store) but one day i woke up at like 2am to a huge explosion noise... Someone put a bomb in a car over there and blew it up!

My car got broken into, I dont know if they was trying to steal it, but i had a break lock on it.. nothing was taking from it but my window was still busted.

My cuzin came to drop off some mail at my place on her way to a wedding.. (She has 3 kids) she was only in my place for 5 min, she looked out the window and asked did i move her car. I said no... In 5 minutes someone had stole her car and threw all 3 car seats out in the middle of the road. it took about a month b4 police got her car back for her.

About 6 people around here had a tire stolen off their cars... I dont know why someone would be cruddy and steal one tire off each car but they did, and instead of leaving it on a cinder block or something, they left them all on house decorating bricks. Go figure.

The old lady downstairs (who has a bad leg and walks around with a cane) was attacked sometime last year. The maintenance man who lives in our building was walking to his van and found her layed out on the sidewalk with blood coming from her head, luckily he got her to the hospital in time. (she just finally moved out about a month ago)

NOW INSIDE THE APARTMENTS

The paint is so bad it makes no sense, it looks like it was just slapped on the wall and dried. its dried up drip marks and everything coming from the walls.

The buildings are old.. there is at least one crack mark somewhere in the wall or ceiling in every room of my apartment. And the walls are paper thin... I can hear everything my neighbor says, and do, even when he is nailing his girlfriend 5 times a day! And when i am in the hall checking the mail, i can hear my phone ring upstairs on the 3rd floor (in my bedroom).

I never had roach or mice problems but the spiders are ridiculous, I was bit by a spider twice. Had to take antibiotics for 2 weeks the first time, and this time i have to rub this cream on my leg every day for a month.

The gutter is broke so when it rains, it seeps through my living room wall and has my carpet soaked...

The neighbors smoke weed all day... I dont care what other people do in thier own apartment, but when it seeps through to my apartment and it smells so strong i have to spay and open all my windows, then its a big problem..

My bathroom toilet brakes at least twice a month... Not clogged, but it breaks to where it wont flush, or the water in the back piece wont fill up.

The kitchen is small as a matchbox! U only have one drawer that u can use and nowhere near enough counter top or cabinet space.

I can go on and on about this place but just take my advice and do NOT move here. It may be good for a college student first starting out who only plans on living here for a year or less but i wouldn't recommend this to a homeless person!

I am also putting up some proof pics of what i had to say!!!

This review hits the nail on the head. A lot of renters move into apartments because the rent is reasonable (not cheap for the price you will eventually pay). You cannot put a price on your sanity, safety or health. I know no place is perfect. However, there are some thing we would like to avoid (being harm by others). We just want a decent and safe place to live. If you want that - DO NOT MOVE HERE.
