According to the police, Fox Club is located in the worst part of PG County. Just last month there was a quadruple shooting at the swimming pool! Get this... IT WAS RESIDENTS SHOOTING AT EACHOTHER!!!

In April I was taking my 1yr old son for a walk. We walked to the rental office to pay my rent. While I was in there I heard gunshots. The office staff tried to convince me that it was fireworks. I knew better. I rushed back to my apartment and heard police cars moments later. I soon found out that a guy was shot and killed at the gas station on the corner. In March, my next door neighbor and three other people throughout the complex were mugged at gun point.

This is a very dangerous place to live. I hear gunshots and police cars all hours of the day/night. If you think I'm lying, do a search on the internet for "1900 Block of Brooks Drive, Capitol Heights." You will find numerous news articles about robberies and shootings.

To make things even worse, I pay $1000 a month for garbage! The floors are so thin. I can hear EVERYTHING that goes on in the apartment above me. I hear the TV, I hear the cellphone vibrate when it's on the dresser, I hear it ALL! One resident's bathroom ceiling caved in a few months ago.

Parking is terrible. When I moved in in march I was told we would be getting assigned parking. 5 months later... still no assigned spaces. The manager parks in the fire lane or handicapped spaces and will block you in if you take "his" spot.

Maintenance takes forever to get anything done. My requests weren't taken care of until I called the manager's boss. Less than an hour after I made the phonecall someone was down here to get some things fixed. The paint and carpet here is so CHEAP it is rediculous. Don't bother asking for a receipt for your rent because they don't give those out and expect an eviction warning even when you pay your rent on time.

On the positive side, my apartment almost looked as good as the model. I requested to see it before I signed my lease. I had to ask SEVERAL times but I was finally given the keys. There were a few things that needed to be fixed but it was nothing major. I haven't had much of an insect problem. There were ants, spiders & ladybugs for a while but luckily no roaches. I work during the day so I don't run my AC much except for the weekends so my electric bill is usually only about $30. The neighbors in my building are pretty friendly and the manager is ok (despite the fact that he tries to act young). I live around the older crowd so it's not a lot of loud music blasting. Some people blast their radio but it's usually for a short time.

I love the space in the 2br master suite. I just wish I could get better paint, better carpets, lower rent, a clean laundry room, and take it all to a better area.

I've been waiting to move out since I signed the lease 5 months ago. I'm so happy I was smart enought to get a 6 month lease! I CAN'T WAIT TO LEAVE FOX CLUB!!!
