I've been a resident at Fox Club Apartments since August of 2005. I have a 2 bedroom on the ground floor. I work within the Property Management industry - just for another company - so I am kinda on the inside looking out. Turnover has been high, but it seems that way with all managers with Grady Management. I leased the apartment in July and by August, there was another manager. Since August 2005, I think they've had 3 Property Managers and 3 Assistant Managers. Leasing Consultants seem to change every few weeks. Therefore, what I'm saying is that you shouldn't get too comfortable with people in the office.
In terms of my apartment: I like it because it's spacious. I have the option to close off 2 doors and kinda have a master bathroom without going outside of my bedroom. It's also pretty spacious. I like living on the ground floor because I have two entrances into my apartment, which helped moving in and will help moving out.
I think my plumbing is in conjuction with the laundry room and when the septic tank backs up, which is has done twice, all of the gunk backs up into my toilet and shower, of course leaving it not usable. That was a pain. It even flooded the bottom level twice, with the stinky water creeping under my door and soiling my carpet. In the management's defense, the problem was taken care of relatively quickly in addition to getting my carpets cleaned and deodorized by the management.
In terms of bugs, I'll be honest: Yes they have them. In the beginning its always worse but now I may see one every once in a blue moon. By that I do mean roaches. I've had 2 mice - never caught either one of them. However, maintenance was pretty responsive in coming out and treating my unit whenever I asked them.
My advise to those having problem with maintenance is to put the request in writing. It helps TREMENDOUSLY, especially for those who have been the victims of bed bugs. If you tell the management and they don't do anything, and you can prove it, the liability is on the LANDLORD. Remember that!
My lease is up in either August or September. Will I move' Probably. I think the rent is getting a little high. Parking is pretty good. Security is a joke. They never see anything! I can hear my neighbors upstairs when they blast their stereo: good thing is that they rarely do it late and when I go into my bedroom, the noise goes from a 10 to a 3.
I'm close to the laundry room but it's not secure at all. Part of the ceiling fell over the Memorial Day Holiday and the laundry facilities have been locked ever since. Sucks to have to haul all your stuff to a laundry mat. The front door locks when you leave but the hinge on my building is broken so when you open the door, there's nothing that snaps it back so it stays open for days at a time if no one closes it.
If I could do it all over again, would I move here' Mmmmmmmmmmm... not sure.

Thank you much for your review... I have been to see the neighborhood at night, and saw not too much activity, which is a good thing! But you have been pretty honest.. I am planning to move into the third floor, any advice?

Good idea! I love living on the ground floor because I'm right next to the laundry room and I have the two entrances/exits but it definitely has its cons. If the septer tank gets full, it backs up into my tub and toilet which is uttlerly DISGUSTING. I think a 3rd floor unit would be nice. I'm not a stairs person though. It's a shame you have to sacrafice stairs for a septer tank.
Ms. Doris is really nice and she's thorough. It takes them a minute to get to maintenance requests which can be frustrating. Just have patience. Go in with the mindset that you're going to have to have patience.
Good luck! I'm not going to renew my lease so I'll be out before the year is out!

Are you still at this apartment complex? Any new reviews? I'm thinking of moving here & would like an update.
