I love my apartment itself, don't get me wrong!

...But as of recent, we've had a whole lot of CRIME going on from my neighbor in my court being gunned down (killed) right where we take out our trash, to numerous car thefts (if u don't have a club on your vehicle, no matter what kinda vehicle u have, consider it GONE), to other shootings off the grounds of the complex, but still very close to it. To the gambling outside on the parking lots, in front of the buildings... To the young boys hanging all out on the steps, in the walkways, etc. ...To the smoking of the weed in my hallway (can only speak for where I stay). I don't care that you smoke, but take that mess in your own damn apartment!!!

In addition, the rent has gone balistic over the last year or so. I mean that was one of the main attractions for me when I moved in because you got SO much for less... And granted the rent is extremely high now, and I don't mind paying it, but you need to show me WHAT it is I'm paying for. Just last year, they did some rennovations to the grounds, as well as the units, but to me (personally) it wasn't much of a difference, and actually, everything was MUCH BETTER before they started remodeling. My motto is, if it ain't broke then don't try to fix it.

Now I have brand new windows that are just OK... not secure enough as the old ones, a cheap ass light fixture in the middle of my dining room that's sooooooo low everyone bumps their head when walking through, unsealed baseboards from poorly putting in a NEW kitchen floor, which has caused all kinds of ants and roaches (which I NEVER had before). ...So basically I'm not all that satisfied with things anymore.

I do still love my apartment, but I'll be leaving when my lease is up next year.

...Now check this out, they have this HUGE incentive where you get like $500 off your rent if you refer someone to come live in Highland Ridge Apts., which is GREAT, but how can do that with this new crime-infestation that's going on'!'!'
