I moved into the hood 2001, first apartment so the price seemed pretty good. the crime report for this area is extremely HIGH!! That should've been obvious for $645 one bedroom and den. Don't get me wrong I love my apartment; new carpet,no roaches, cabinets, eat-in kitchen, walk in closet. It's just the area so horrific. My car has been vandalized 6 times. (3 times included a shattered windshild; drivers side) I ACTUALLY CAUGHT SOMEONE SITTING IN MY CAR TRYING TO STEAL IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Imagine that !!! it was dark outside 2/10/01 10 p.m. I had my three year old daughter with me. I wrote letters to the property manager and rental office. After four months lights were installed in the parking lot. There are entirely tooooooo many young black males in this area with nothing to do all day but smoke, drink, vandalize cars and property, play loud music, and hang out until 2 a.m.!!!!!!!!! And sell drugs at the bus stop!!!(during the daytime!!!!) The police are around here every other day, but BIG problems still occur. I have also been the victim of an attempted robbery..some young thugs tried to steal my car. At the time I was five months pregnant with my son. you be the judge.........
