I have lived at Penn-Southern for 4 years now. I must say that it has been a rocky ride. First, my vehicle has been vandilized 4 times, each time my driver's side window was shattered and my things ramsacked!!!! My neighbors love weed, loud music and apparently ROACHES! The Southern Management staff is exceptional however, that doesn't make-up for all the negative daily headaches! The walls are paper thin, the children are awful..they sit on your cars, curse and litter!
Summer is the WORSE! If you want to enjoy a nice summer's day in YOUR HOME relaxing, FORGET ABOUT IT!!!!!!!
On a good note, they take care of most maintenence request within 24 hrs, the buildings are clean and well maintained. There's plenty of parking and they have lots of activities for children.
I will say that I felt a little cheated, you see, at the time of application they failed to mention that the bathrooms for the one-bedroom apartment homes are IN THE BEDROOM...NOT COOL!
Last but not least, I recently had new neighbors move in. Apparently they lived on a private island before moving here b/c they bang at the slightest noise. I mean I walk across the floor, they bang. I go to the restroom, they bang...talk about GHETTO! I'm not sorry to say, I'm leaving them behind...

i agree, in the summer time people are out hangin around but they dont really seemed to be up to a whole lot as far as robberies or anything. It is surprisingly safer than i would expect it to be. there is plenty of parking somewhere close to your apt.
