Hi All:
I keep my eyes glued to apartmentrating.com, so this rating should help someone like me.
PS is a good community. I thought because SE was across the street it would be ghetto, but I was proven wrong.
Parking in front (4113-4107) is a nightmare. My next door neighbors are good. Its just the people above me, if feels like my ceiling will cave. Management& Maintence is good, very timely and effient. Although the community accepts dogs, people are very respectful about leashing there dogs, but they don't clean up the poop. I don't take my son (2 years old) to the playground there because I am nervous he will run and fall head first in the poop ( its a lot on the playground behind the pool)I like the way the building was set up to have 2 laundry rooms, 1 by the 3rd floor and the other by the basement, that was great. The my knowledge not all the buildings have that.
The reason I will be moving is because the community is not really family friendly. The community center & elementary school (JE Howard) is very ghetto. I like to do outside walking and Southern Avenue most of the street does not have sidewalks. Also renting is expensive, so I am going back to my mom house and save the difference so I can buy a house
It was a great first apartment. As a single mother, I felt safe in my surroundings.
