I lived at South Hill from May 2002 - June 2003 and I absolutely loved it. My apartment was very spacious. I loved the size of my bedroom. When I moved out, it was hard for me to adjust to the smaller bedrooms in other communities. The leasing office was helpful. I never had any problems with the maintenance...they were very helpful, friendly and fixed any problems I had within 24 hours, if not a few hours.

It is very convenient to DC and have several bus lines at the front door. I was a student and it was extremely accessible because it is on the DC/MD line. The MD buses stop running after 9pm...so when I stayed late on campus, it was easy for me to get off at Potomac Avenue and take the bus right to my door.

The apartment bldg. is quiet and there is very little noise.

The only negative aspect of living in this community is the freqency of car break-ins. The is the only reason I moved out. I bought a new car for graduation and within two weeks they tried to steal my car...luckily I have a very good security system on my car.

Overall, I loved it there and would recommend anyone to live there.
