I lived in Melvin Park from July 2008 till present. It really isn't that bad. The separate building for laundry is inconvenient, and we had a slight bug problem (an exterminator came out within a week of notifying the office). But the office staff is friendly, willing to work with you when you're late (they take prompt action but will listen and give leeway if needed). It's pretty quiet. Parking can be a problem (better be able to parallel park). I've never had a problem with neighbors, it's well kept...Trash comes at like 2am but...who cares'
The rent was decent for a 2 bedroom apartment in the baltimore area, and it's convenient to everything...
