      Large apartments, awful maintenance

      Willard Towers infrastructure is decades beyond its useful life. As a result, the maintenance department cannot fix some of the biggest infrastructure problems (elevators routinely breaking down) or keep up with the huge numbers of ones in individual units (heat-A/C, leaks).                                                   We sincerely apologize that you have been dissatisfied with your experience at 4701 Willard. It is important to us that our residents are comfortable in their homes, and I hope we can work together to make things right. All of our amenities are currently available. The pool will open Saturday for the season,and the gym has been open. While it will close on Tuesday for construction. It will re-open at the end of August. We will put a few pieces of equipment in the sitting room for convenience, and our sister property Wisconsin Place will allow our residents to work out there. It's about a 3 block walk or our shuttle van will take them there during shuttle hours. We of course appreciate your patience as we make 4701 an even better place to live. The garage renovation will be fully finished at the end of August. Currently some residents are parking off-site but we're offering extended shuttle hours to accommodate them. We also have gotten permission to park at the Geico parking lot across the street in the evening and on weekends. The front desk can see on the security camera who is entering each entrance. All visitors sign in and say where they are going. IT has contracted to have the final connection for the door system to operate fully. By the end of the month all visitors will need to dial a resident or the front desk for entry. Finally, regarding construction: we keep all residents updated with a weekly newsletter that explains everything that is going on.                                                     Thank you for sharing your feedback with us about your experience at 4701 Willard. I am sorry to read that you're dissatisfied, and would appreciate the opportunity to talk about your concerns with you in person. If an elevator is non-functioning, the repair company is called immediately. Instead of one large elevator on each side of the building, 4701 Willard offers two smaller elevators at each side of the building. We have additional freight elevators available as well. Service Requests can be entered directly by residents via the resident portal. Once the work order has been entered, the resident can follow the work order until completion. If the work order is filled out with the correct and detailed information, the maintenance team can resolve the issue to the full satisfaction of the residents. We have a system in place which recognizes if the same work request is entered repeatedly. We kindly ask each resident to contact the office if they need help with a work order. Our maintenance team has been able to repair most work requests on the same day the order was entered. As of 4/28/2014, the gym is not closed. We will close the gym in the near future to replace it with a 3200 sqf, state-of-the-art gym. We are making temporary arrangements during this renovation process and will inform our residents closer to the date of alternative options. Every week on Friday, we are sending an updated resident construction broadcast with all the information to our residents. This update is called "Willard in the Works". We have a construction update board available in the lobby as well a paper copies of the "Willard in the Works" document at the front desk.
