Decent, with great location

This building has the typical pluses and minuses.
On the plus side, the location is great. The Metro is two blocks away, there is a grocery store, CVS, and Blockbuster all across the street. Many food places and great shopping (Saks, Tiffany's, Mazza) are all within sight. There is ample parking. The apartments are very spacious and well maintained.
On the other hand, there are some problems. There is NO lock on the door, so anyone can wander in. There is a person at the front desk 24/7, but this person provides no security at all, and is usually unhelpful. A package room seems like a great service, but the posted hours are rarely kept to. Finally, a strong odor permeated the lobby for six months due to a "rodent" problem that was not discovered until month five. I, however, have had no problems with pests or rodents in my unit.
There are laundry facilities on each floor, as well as recycling facilities. Balconies and some nice views are definite pluses. One last warning: do not operate the iron and the hair dryer at the same time anywhere in your unit!!
