Avoid at all costs!!! Girl was RAPED last year IN THIS BUILDING...guy followed her home from the Metro, entered the building BEHIND her, DIRECTLY PAST THE SECURITY GUARD (what a JOKE), and raped her IN THE BUILDING. Idiotic management now involved in civil litigation because of this.

First and foremost manager is NOT responible for anyones safety. HH is designed to have both residents and commericals (doctors etc.) tenants to come in and go out of the building. If you know that someones following you home you don't get on the elevator and go to your apartment, and then blame it on management. Rapes happen everywhere and everyday, watch the news and stop blames people that have nothing to do with it.

Rapists don't look like they are about to rape you, most rapes are acquaintance rape. Learn your rape facts prior to assuming that security should be able to tell somebody is a rapist just by looking at them. Do we really want more profiling based on appearance in this country?

How horrible!!! The point is this girl could have been protected had the security been doing there jobs! Even at the current apartments I live without security, the apartment management takes a point to know who is coming and going and is not afraid to kick out who does not belong here. One courtesy knock or call to the police and that girl would not experience just a tragic life experience. It is obvious some people do not take responsibility or consider it as some thing that could have been prevented. Thank you for posting this because I will never rent here and really are getting an idea about the area we are moving to. Maybe people will care enough to start to take action so that it will better this county. Imagine if that was your daughter or wife!
